Getting started with LOS

 

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

The objective of the course is to familiarize interested persons with the rules of the LOS discipline and to define basic differences between the LOS and IPSC shooting disciplines. We will also try out all the rules in practice during the course. Activities within the course include the shooting technique, hiding, reloading a weapon; we will also evaluate shooting situations. The acronym LOS stands for 'Lidová Obranná Střelba', ie. People Defensive Shooting, which is what we will try to teach you. LOS simulates real situations you may encounter.

 

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

1. LOS discipline rules

2. Basic differences between the LOS and IPSC disciplines

3. Explanation of terms and skills such as reloading a weapon, concealed carrying of the weapon, evaluation of shooting situations

4. Explanation of differences among individual divisions

5. We will assist with choosing equipment for the shooter for this discipline

6. Practical training: shooting & all the necessary skills

7. Preparation for the LOS competition

 

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COURSE

a) the course is intended for firearms license holders

b) the course takes place once a month at the Trigger Service shooting range

c) time of the event: Sunday 10:00 a. m. - 1:00 p. m.

d) the course duration is 3 hours net (organizationally 10:00 a. m. - 1:30 p. m.)

e) a maximum of 6 participants in one course

f) applications to be sent to streleckekurzy@triggerservice.cz; phone number: +420 541 218 197 or personally in the operating hours (daily from 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m.). The application should contain the surname and the name, DOB, contact (phone number and e-mail) and the firearms license ID.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

a) headphones, protective glasses, a belt, a gun holster, a magazine case, a weapon and ammunition (everything can be borrowed on site)

b) suitable clothes for concealed carrying of the gun (a shirt, a hoodie, a jacket, a vest to cover the gun holster)

c) refreshment is on own account of the participant (to a limited extent can be purchased on site)

d) the price of the course is CZK 1,300.- per person

 

SOMETHING EXTRA

a) participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course

b) the course takes place regularly once a month

c) it is possible to arrange an individual course and its content
